Travel

Bath is an old Roman city, the streets are narrow and best explored on foot.

By car

Bath is located just ten miles from junction 18 of the M4 motorway, running from London to Bristol. The hotel does not have its own car park but the Manvers Street car park (BA1 1JZ) is directly opposite the hotel.

By bus

The bus station is located in the city centre, less than half a mile from the hotel. National Express runs a regular service between Bath and Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Bristol airports.

On leaving the bus station turn right and walk for approximately 1 minute to the train station.

By train

Bath Spa station is situated next to the bus station. It is on the main line from London Paddington (approx 90 minutes) to Bristol Temple Meads (approx 15 minutes) and on the Southampton (approx 110 minutes) to Cardiff (approx 100 minutes) line.

Use the National Rail site to look up times.

On leaving the train station head for The Royal Hotel Bath and continue down Manvers Street for around 4 minutes, passing both the Police station and the Manvers Street car park on the right. Turn right after the car park and the hotel is on your left.

By air

The position of the Bath Spa station on two main train lines means there are a large number of airports one can use.

Program

The program of events include a conference dinner at the Holburne Museum on the Saturday evening.

The Sunday will include a trip along the Avon to an afternoon tea at The Old Mill Hotel in Batheaston.
